Within this project, each individual was tasked to redesign a magazine spread. We were told to pick a topic that we are passionate about. For my magazine, I picked an article from the magazine ‘Back to School’. The topic is about how kids’ education was affected during the pandemic of 2020. The reason I chose this topic is that I come from a long line of educators. With one of them being my mother, and seeing firsthand the struggles she dealt with as an educator. Within the colors and edited images, I tried to recreate the dread and lifelessness educators were feeling, trying to do their job of inspiring the younger generation when there was not much energy at that time.
